Despite some seroius speculation and heavy questioning over the weekend meeting from the (majority) Nikon Owners, as to what Nikon might reveal for the PMA show in the states, even if I had known then, I couldn't have told you until now. Nikon have annouced a big brother to the D40, the D40X. The camera is not a replacement, but an addition to their range and despite being superficially similar to the D40, it sports a 10.2mp sensor, faster frame rate and a greater ISO range. |

Canon's announcement of the EOS 400D yesterday does seem to be somewhat of a kneejerk reaction to recent cameras produced by both Sony and Nikon. Being little more than a 350D with a 10mp sensor in it, along with the nature of its announcement makes one think that Canon are running just a little scared! |

A quick look. Having had the pleasure of attending Nikon's press launch of it's new D80 dSLR yesterday and had a play with the pre-production model on show, I was suitably impressed. A quick glance at the specifications does give the impression that Nikon may have shot themselves in the foot as far as the D200 is concerned, but in fact, this is far from the case.. |
