The meeting held yesterday at Tyland Barn, the headquarters of the Kent Wildlife Trust, was fairly well attended and very productive in the eyes of most of those there. Once the meeting was over though, the inevitable chatter and banter started and.......
.....whilst one group were shown the new bird feeding station mentioned by Phil during the meeting, others spent time chatting and playing with equipment in the car park. Nick took a look at one of two new D200's that were being paraded on the day and a little squeal heralded Jill's discovery that he had taken a picture of her. Being one of those Ladies that hates her photograph being taken, Jill immediately grabbed said camera from Nick and started looking for a way to delete the offending image! Jill, the camera lied!! lol To a certain amount of laughter, and a comment from Mike that, being a Nikon, it couldn't be that difficult, Jill found the dustbin icon that we are all familiar with and, having ascertained that the images had been deleted, returned the camera to Nick with a satisfied look on her face.Digital is a wonderful medium and has completely blown out of the water the old saying that the camera never lies. Just to prove the point, I ran the card through a little program called 'Image Rescue' from the nice people at Lexar. As Shaun has pointed out to me since I first posted this item, there is no such thing as a WAK meeting where you can feel safe from someone else's shutter! While there have been some corkers over the last two and a half years, the one below has to rate in the top ten! Nick, what are you doing? © Shaun Wakelen |
